Date Night Giveaway Contest Rules

Void where prohibited. Begins Monday, Sept. 9, 2019 and ends Monday, Sept. 16, 2019. Open to legal U.S. residents 21 years or older. No charge to enter. 

Eligibility: You must be a legal U.S. resident and 21 years of age or older to participate in the BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo giveaway (“Sweepstakes”). Employees and volunteers of Friends of the Baton Rouge Zoo (“Sponsor”) as well as employees of Sponsor and its subsidiaries, affiliates, prize suppliers, and advertising and promotion agencies, are ineligible. These employees’ immediate families (spouses, parents and their spouses, children and their spouses, and siblings and their spouses) and individuals living in the same household as these employees also are ineligible. 

Promotion Period: Promotion begins Sept. 9, 2019 and ends Sept. 16, 2019 (“Sweepstakes Period”).

Grand Prize: Two General Admission tickets to Brew at the Zoo presented by Friends of the Baton Rouge Zoo. Valued at $100. Drawing to be held Sept. 18, 2019 on Facebook.com via a Facebook Live post. Grand Prize winner will also be contacted by Facebook message on Sept. 18, 2019. Sponsor of this contest is the Friends of the Baton Rouge Zoo, a nonprofit organization, 3601 Thomas Rd Baton Rouge, LA 70807 USA. 

How to Enter: Enter online through the BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo’s Facebook page at: http://bit.ly/2wl8s0P. One entry allowed per person. Each entrant must share the Facebook contest announcement posted by BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo and tag another person in the comments section. A winner will be randomly selected by a BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo employee. Online entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. CST Sept. 16, 2019. 

No mechanically reproduced completed entries will be accepted. Illegible or incomplete entries will be disqualified. All entries submitted will only be used for purposes described in the Official Rules. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be returned. 

Prize: The Sweepstakes Prize will be two tickets to Brew at the Zoo presented by Friends of the Baton Rouge Zoo on October 4, 2019. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize or prizes of substantially equal value in the event the Sweepstakes Prize becomes unavailable for any reason. 

On Sept. 18, 2019, a random drawing will be conducted by or under the supervision of Sponsor to award the Sweepstakes Prize. There will be one winner chosen from all completed entries. 

Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received. 

Drawing and Notification: The Sweepstakes Prize Winner will be notified by Facebook message that he/she has been selected as the winner and given instructions regarding how to accept his/her prize. The Sweepstakes Prize Winner will have two days (from Sponsor’s notification of selection as the Sweepstakes Prize Winner) to accept his/her prize. 

If the selected Sweepstakes Prize Winners cannot be contacted, are ineligible, fails to claim the prize, or fails to timely return any completed and executed declaration and release as required, the selected Sweepstakes Prize Winners prize may be forfeited at Sponsor’s option. If the Sweepstakes Prize is unclaimed or forfeited, Sponsor will award the Sweepstakes Prize to an alternate winner chosen at random from all eligible entries received. 

The Sweepstakes Prize Winner releases, indemnifies, and holds harmless Sponsor from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind sustained in connection with his/her participation in Sweepstakes and the receipt, ownership, or use of the Sweepstakes Prize. The Sweepstakes Prize Winner consents to the use of his/her name, photograph, and/or likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. 

General Conditions: Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, Louisiana and local laws. Void where prohibited by law. The Sweepstakes Prize is not transferable.

By participating in this contest and submitting an entry, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decision of the Sponsor in conducting the contest, which shall be final and binding in all respects. By entering the contest, each entrant agrees to waive any and all claims against the Sponsor, or other prize providers, their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, agents, and representatives, for personal injury or loss that may occur from the participation in this contest or from the receipt or use of any prize. Likewise, each entrant releases, indemnifies, and holds harmless Sponsor from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind sustained in connection with participation in Sweepstakes. Any disputes arising between entrants and Sponsor will be resolved under the laws of the State of Louisiana. 

In the event of a dispute regarding an entrant’s identity, the entrant will be considered to be the named registrant. 

Sponsor, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, agents and representatives are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any contest-related materials or for any stolen, late, lost, garbled, delayed, misdirected, damaged, or incomplete entries. Sponsor disclaims liability for any problems caused by malfunctions, including from bugs or failure in computer servers, hardware, or software, transmission, by online failure, or lost, delayed, or corrupted data transmitted by participants. Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, agents and representatives, or any telephone network providers are not responsible for incorrect, inaccurate transcription or loss of entry information for any reason whatsoever. 

If, in the Sponsor’s exclusive judgment, this contest becomes compromised in any way, Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw the contest, cancel any method of entry, to void any entries submitted fraudulently, or select a Sweepstakes Prize Winner from all eligible entries received prior to the act that compromised the contest. In the event of cancellation, the Sweepstakes Prize will be awarded by random drawing of the entries received prior to the date of the cancellation. By entering, entrants acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements. 

By winning the contest, Sweepstakes Prize Winner grants to Sponsor, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and agents the right to publicize such individual’s name and/or likeness in any advertising or broadcasting material or any other media at the Sponsor’s choosing without additional compensation or consideration, unless prohibited by law. 

Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this contest is unlawful and subject to legal action by the Sponsor or its agents.
